Good piece Daniela but I feel the need to point out that just because you have one or more of these features, does mean you’ll do well or even enjoy this sector once you get into it.

I second that Lily. I moved from a business role to the care sector and within a year knew I had made the biggest mistake. Unpaid and undervalued it is heart-wrenching seeing up close how much funding and cuts to the health sector impact patient care.

Must disagree slightly with these comments. Plainly put, some of us are cut out for this path while others just aren’t. If you truly care you will want to make a change. You can’t make a difference when you aren’t personally involved in the system.

A hot topic it would seem. Thanks for your comments. I too feel that this is a sector only suited to certain personality types. It’s not the easiest of roles.
