Don’t make the mistake of thinking you need to move on the day you get those office keys. In reality, you would be better off waiting. Instead of rushing in on day one, then, use this to lay the groundwork. Something as simple as contacting an internet company to connect you before you move in could work wonders here. That way, you won’t have to miss out on work due to a loss of connection at all. It may also be worth moving small and unessential office items on this day. The chances are that you can go without things like filing cabinets and stationary for a few days at least.

Day #2: Get the Space Operational

Your second-day focus should be on making this an operational workspace while keeping yourself afloat in your old premises. Your main priority here should be on moving things like your heavy machinery. This may seem like a mammoth task, but it’s entirely possible to achieve this in a day. All you need to do is visit A&A Machinery for machinery moving resources, or look out for other professionals like them. Companies like these have both the equipment and the know how to get your production stuff moved. All the while, you’ll be free to carry on with admin stuff back at the office.

Day #3: Move Your Desks and Get Working

Day 3 is moving day, and it’s time to take your computers and desks with you. The best way to speed up this process is to call in all team members to pack up their desk areas in the morning. That way, no one has the mammoth task of clearing the whole office. By mid-day, you should be able to move into your new space and start working the moment you arrive. Who said this moving stuff had to be difficult?
